A little something that touched my heart today…
We were talking about our favorite holiday/events in my little Kindergarten tutoring group today. And the question was, “If there was only one holiday/event that your family could celebrate, what one would you pick?”
I obviously picked my birthday, my favorite day of the whole year.
But a little darling girl said “I can’t pick one, but two. Christmas and Easter.” I said those were good ones.
Many of the other children picked these holidays because they get presents and spend time with their families.
But the little girl tapped my shoulder and said, “I didn’t pick those because of what they said. I picked Christmas because it is Jesus’s birthday and I picked Easter because it is when he rose from the grave.”
I thought it was sweet anyway.
